On the morning of August 8, Ambassador Chen Song was invited to attend the inauguration of the Aarogya Foundation Dialysis Center at the Chetrapati Community Hospital in Kathmandu.
Ambassador Chen Song congratulated the center on its establishment, stating that healthcare is a key area of China's assistance to Nepal. Over the years, China has dispatched medical teams to Nepal, donated equipment, and supported training programs for Nepali professionals. From post-earthquake reconstruction to COVID-19 assistance, China and Nepal have stood together in times of need, demonstrating our deep friendship. As the third "Sukhi Community" Project supported by the Chinese Embassy in Nepal, the Aarogya Foundation Dialysis Center brings hope for patients, families and communities, serving as another testament to the power of collaboration between the nations and organizations to achieve the well-being of all. China stands ready to deepen its partnership with Nepal in healthcare sector and will work together with Nepal to move toward a future where quality healthcare is within reach for every citizen of Nepal.
Ani Choying Drolma expressed gratitude for the strong support from the Chinese Embassy in Nepal. The event was also attended by UN Resident Coordinator in Nepal, Hanaa Singer Hamdy, Chairperson of Chetrapati Community Hospital, Manoj Man Shrestha, and representatives from local governments, Federal Parliament of Nepal, social organizations and other sectors.
