On September 29, 2026, the Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) held an appreciation ceremony for the Chinese DNA and forensic identification experts. H.E. Mr. Zhang Maoming, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Nepal, and Hon. Mr. Mahabir Pun, Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation of Nepal, attended the ceremony.

At the ceremony, NAST leaders highly praised and sincerely thanked the Chinese DNA and forensic identification experts for their significant contributions. Minister Pun presented certificates of appreciation to the Chinese experts and expressed sincere gratitude to the Chinese government and experts for their strong support and assistance to Nepal.

Ambassador Zhang stated that the close cooperation between Chinese and Nepali experts once again vividly demonstrates the traditional friendship between the two countries. China stands ready to continue providing necessary support and assistance to Nepal to help advance the post-disaster operation and reconstruction work.
