On September 24, 2026, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Zhang Maoming met with UNICEF Representative to Nepal, Ms. Akunga for an in-depth exchange on the protection of the rights and interests of women and children, post-disaster recovery and reconstruction, and other issues. Both sides agreed to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation on the protection of the rights and interests of women and children, leverage UNICEF’s expertise in areas including child protection, education and health, and actively support Nepal’s post-disaster recovery and reconstruction efforts, contributing to the well-being of women and children and Nepal’s sustainable development.
