On July 24, 2026, H.E. Ambassador Zhang Maoming called on Hon. Ms. Pratibha Rawal, Nepal’s Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration.

Ambassador Zhang congratulated Minister Rawal on assuming office and reaffirmed China’s firm support for the Nepali people in independently choosing a development path suited to their national conditions. The Chinese side stands ready to further strengthen policy communication with the Nepali side, improve local-level coordination mechanisms, deepen practical cooperation across various fields, and continuously enrich the Nepal-China Strategic Partnership of Cooperation.

Minister Rawal spoke positively of Nepal-China friendship and the progress of practical cooperation. She said that Nepal stands ready to learn from China’s governance experience, seize the opportunities arising from China’s development, and looks forward to China’s continued support for Nepal’s economic and social development, with a view to advancing practical cooperation between the two countries and delivering more tangible outcomes.
