On June 25, 2026, H.E. Ambassador Zhang Maoming visited the Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) of Nepal and exchange views with RSS General Manager Sandip Rai and his team.

Ambassador Zhang Maoming briefed on the China-Nepal relations and Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building. He noted that this year marks the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, and Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building provides the fundamental guidance for strengthening Party building in the new era. China stands ready to enhance exchanges with Nepal on governance and party building, and to jointly advance modernization. He expressed the hope that Nepali media could continue to report on China in an objective, comprehensive and accurate manner. The Chinese side is also willing to strengthen cooperation with RSS and promote media exchanges and cooperation between the two countries.

Mr. Rai said that Nepal and China enjoy a long history of friendly exchanges across the Himalayas, and people from all walks of life in Nepal sincerely appreciate China's long-standing support and assistance. RSS attaches great importance to Nepal-China relations and will continue to play an active role in helping the Nepali public gain a better understanding of China and fostering a favourable atmosphere for deepening bilateral cooperation across various fields.
