To further facilitate Chinese visa applicants, starting immediately until December 31, 2026, fingerprint collection is exempted for all short-term visa applicants with a duration stay not exceeding 180 days at all Chinese visa authorities overseas.

However, for applicants of certain visa categories, including D, J1, Q1, S1, X1, and Z visas, who are required to apply for residence permits after entering China, fingerprint collection will still be conducted in accordance with the regulations.
