To further facilitate foreign citizens to apply for visas to China, the Chinese Embassy in Nepal will cancel the online appointment for China visa application from December 17th, 2023. Applicants can apply for visas without appointment, and follow the instructions below:
1. Fill out the visa application form online (https://cova.cs.mfa.gov.cn), download and print out the full application form（7 pages in total）, and sign on the confirmation page and page 7.
2. For the visa categories - C, D, F, G, J1, J2, L, M, Q1, Q2, R, S1, S2, X1, X2, Z and Macao visa, please contact Kathmandu Chinese Visa Application Service Center to submit visa application documents:

3. For Diplomatic Visa,Official Visa and Courtesy Visa applications, please contact the Consular Section Office of the Chinese Embassy in Nepal.

4. For Hong Kong visa application and inquiry, please contact Hong Kong Immigration Department and apply online.

It takes four working days for the visa application review. After cancellation of online visa application appointment, there might be more applicants on-site during peak hours (Mondays, Tuesdays and around public holidays) and waiting times in line might be long. Applicants are recommended to avoid peak hours when submitting applications.
