Notification on the Adjustment of Nucleic Acid Test Certificate Required

According to the latest notice by Chinese Government, from August 25, 2020, the time limit for boarding with a negative COVID-19 nucleic acid test has been adjusted to 3 days, that is,

all foreign passengers inbound China by flights from Nepal shall be required to take Nucleic Acid Tests for Covid-19 conducted by designated institutions (Please see The following picture) and get Nucleic Acid Test Certificates with negative result within 72 hours prior to boarding flights. Accordingly, the testing institutions are adjusted to 3 as listed below.

Notification on Nucleic Acid Test Certificate Required

In accordance with the announcement of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the General Administration of Customs of China and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign travelers who are to fly from Nepal to China are required to take nucleic acid tests for COVID-19 and get certified Health Declaration Forms starting from 25th August, 2020. The following procedures are for your reference:

1. All foreign passengers inbound China by flights from Nepal shall be required to take Nucleic Acid Tests for Covid-19 conducted by designated institutions (Please see The following picture) and get Nucleic Acid Test Certificates with negative result within 72 hours prior to boarding flights.

2. Passengers shall fill in and sign the Health Declaration Form(please see the attachment) and are required to send scanned copy of the signed Forms, together with the Nucleic Acid Test Certificates and the photocopies of the front-page of passports to the Chinese Embassy by Email: consulate_npl@163.com.

3. Certified Health Declaration Forms with a validity period of 72 hours (starting from the issued date of the Nucleic Acid Test Certificates from the designated institutions) shall be issued by the Chinese Embassy and sent back to the applicants by Email. Please be noted that it shall take at least 1 working day for the verification by the Chinese Embassy.

4. Passengers shall be required to present the print-out certified Health Declaration Form within the validity period during check-in or before boarding flight and cooperate with airlines for further checking. It is recommended to bring the paper version of the Nucleic Acid Test Certificates for further reference. Please be noted that passengers with expired Health Declaration Forms won't be allowed to board and are required to conduct new Nucleic Acid Tests as well as applying for new Health Declaration Forms.

5. It is requested that all foreign passengers inbound China from Nepal shall follow relevant laws and regulations and provide genuine and effective Nucleic Acid Test Certificates. Those who provide fake certificates shall take legal responsibility accordingly.

6. For foreign passengers ultimately bound for China who transfer via other countries that require valid Health Declaration Forms for boarding (please see https://hr.cs.mfa.gov.cn/help_two/help-two/gj.html) will also be required to show Health Declaration Forms during transferring. Please make sure that the Forms are still valid when boarding the connecting flights.

7. Please be noted that a certified Health Declaration Form is different from a Chinese visa. It is requested that all the foreign passengers inbound China hold valid Chinese visas issued after 28 March, 2020 by Chinese Embassies or Consulates.
