H.E. Ambassador Yang Houlan and Hon. Vice President of Nepal Jha Attend Celebration of Chinese Spring Festival 2013 by Arniko Society

On February 3, 2013, Chinese Embassy in Nepal and Arniko Society of Nepal co-organized the Celebration of Chinese Spring Festival 2013. More than 400 people including Ambassador Yang Houlan, Vice President of Nepal Hon. Mr. Jha, Chief Secretary of Prime Minister's office of Nepal Mr. Poudel, President of Arniko Society Mr. Sarbo Ttam Shrestha, President of Nepal-China Culture and Education Association Dr. Harish, Chairperson of Nepal-China Society Ms. Pant, Embassy staff, friendly organization representatives, Chinese institutions and volunteer teachers in Nepal attended the celebration.

When delivering a speech, Ambassador Yang extended his best wishes for a happy new year to the personnel in Chinese institutions and companies, overseas Chinese and friends from all walks of life in Nepal. Yang especially introduced the rapid development of China-Nepal relations over the past year. He hoped that all the patriots of China and Nepali friends who care about China's development continue to support China's progress and development, and make contribution to China-Nepal friendship.

Vice President Jha extended his cordial greetings to the Chinese people in his remark. Jha said that since the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries, Nepal and China have developed an all-round friendly relations based on the five principles of peaceful coexistence. China has achieved world-renowned achievements. Nepal should learn from China to make more contributions to the well-being of the Nepalese people, and the friendship between the two countries.

President of Arniko Society Ttam said that members of Arniko Society are graduates from China, love China and Chinese people. He hoped the Society will use its strengths to translate more Chinese film and television works, and hold the Nepalese cultural festival in China, to try best to help the development of Nepal-China friendship.

                                                                        

On the Celebration, Nepali actors and Chinese volunteer teachers performed singing, dancing, martial arts and other programs in  continued applause and a warm atmosphere.
