H.E. Ambassador Mr. Yang Houlan Attends the Inauguration of Beijing Language and Culture University Alumni in Nepal

On 29 March, 2012, Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU) Alumni in Nepal inaugurated in Kathmadu. H.E. Mr. Yang Houlan, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Dr. Huo Mingjie, Vice Principle of BLCU, and Dr. Harish Chandra Shah, Chairman of Arniko Society attended the inauguration and gave speeches.

   

Harish said that as a graduate from BLCU, he feels very close to receive the delegation from mother school. BLCU has hundreds of Nepali graduates. They have deep love towards China and mother school. They are really moved by Dr. Huo and other faculty members from BLCU, who took great care about the life and working of BLCU graduates. The Alumni is committed to make efforts to promote the development of China-Nepal friendship.

Huo said since BLCU established 50 years ago, it has educated 130,000 international students who can speak Chinese and know about Chinese culture. He hoped BLCU Alumni in Nepal will strengthen the exchanges with the Chinese side, to enhance the China-Nepal friendship.

Yang extended his warm congratulation to the inauguration of BLCU Alumni in Nepal. Yang said that China and Nepal are traditional friendly neighbors, have deep exchanges in culture and education, which lays the solid base of our friendship. Many graduates from BLCU are like Dr. Harish, who is committed to China-Nepal friendship. He hoped that the Alumni will play more active role in promoting the China-Nepal Comprehensive Partnership of Cooperation. He welcomed more Nepali friends to go to China for studying and visiting.

During the inauguration, BlCU and Arniko Society also signed MOU for mutual visits and exchanges.
