Ambassador to Nepal H.E. Mr. Yang Houlan Meets Mr. Pandy, Secretary of Education Ministry of Nepal

On September 16, 2011, Ambassador Yang Houlan met Mr. Pandy, Secretary of Education Ministry of Nepal and Nepali former Consulate General to Lhasa with exchanging views on China-Nepal relations and exchanges and cooperation between two sides in educational field.

According to his working experience in Lhasa, Mr. Pandy said Nepal and China has been imitated friendly neighbors since ancient times. Tibet has been the bridge for the friendship between Nepal and China because of so much similarity of traditional culture between Nepal and Tibet Autonomous Region of China. The bilateral educational exchanges and cooperation has been witnessing sound development at nowadays. The Nepali side would like to express thanks that Chinese government provides more than one hundred scholarships to Nepal every year and hopes to get such continuous support from China.

Ambassador Yang said China and Nepal have been always mutually understanding and supporting each other. During recent years, bilateral exchanges in fields of politics, economy and trade, tourism and personality has been becoming more and more frequently so that more and more Nepali friends have the desire to learn Chinese language. Until now, there are over sixty Chinese volunteer teachers working in Nepal. The Chinese government will continue to support the enhancement of educational exchanges and cooperation between two sides and make our efforts to inherit and prompt China-Nepal bilateral friendship.
