H.E. Ambassador Yang Houlan Assists Nepal's Northern Region for Constructing Community Buildings

On November 11, 2011, H.E. Ambassador Yang Houlan, on behalf of the Chinese Embassy to Nepal, provided financial assistance to Nepal-China Himalayan Friendship Society, for constructing community buildings in Dolakha, Rasuwa and Sindhupalchowk. The three districts are located in Nepal’s northern mountainous region, which shares the border with Tibet.

Mr. Ananda Pokharel, Chairman of Nepal-China Himalayan Friendship Society, thanked the Chinese Embassy for the kind assistance. Pokharel said that the Chinese Government and the people have given huge kind assistance to Nepal since long time before. The people of Nepal deeply appreciated for that. Nepal’s northern mountainous region shares the border with Tibet. The two peoples there have traditional and deep friendship. He believed that the donation will further enhance the good neighboring friendship between the two sides.

Ambassador Yang said that China and Nepal are good neighbors linked by mountains and rivers. The two countries always support and help each other. China will continue to provide support and assistance within its capacity to the economic and social development of Nepal.
