On 14 September, Chinese ambassador Yang Houlan met with Tripathi, the newly-appointed minister of Physical Planning and Works of Nepal. The two sides had talks on the bilateral relations and cooperation in infrastructure construction.
Tripathi said that Nepal is glad to see the great achievements of Tibet. He hoped that Nepal and China could enhance transportation infrastructure to create better conditions for fast development of trade, economy and culture cooperation
Yang appreciated that the Physical Planning and Works Ministry actively promotes the friendship and mutual-beneficial cooperation between the two countries. He stated that as a friendly neighbor, China will pay highly attention to the project of the two countries and further promote trade cooperation and culture exchanges. Chinese government and enterprises place great hopes on carrying out cooperation in relevant fields and hope to get more support from government of Nepal.
