On September 12, 2011 H.E. Ambassador Yang Houlan met with newly- appointed Information and Communication Minister Mr. Gupta and held cordial and friendly conversation with him on bilateral relations and cooperation in the field of communications.
Gupta said that China and Nepal are traditional friendly neighbors. The Nepalese Government and political parties always stick to One China Policy and hope to work with China to deepen the friendly relations and cooperation. As Information and Communications Minister, he would try to expand bilateral cooperation in the field of communications.
Yang appreciated Mr. Gupta for his firm stance on China's concerns and contributions to China-Nepal cooperation. Yang said that the two countries are good friends and good brothers of mutual trust and mutual support and the sincere friendship between the two peoples was the foundation and favorable condition for the development of mutual beneficial cooperation. He believed that the cooperation in communications and other areas between China and Nepal would be fully developed with joint efforts of the two countries.
